THE DUO OF PROMISING YOUNG DESIGNERS – FORMED BY DUTCH NATIVE NINA CONSTANT AND FRENCH PIERRE CONSTANT – SEEKS TO EXPRESS ART THROUGH THE MEDIUM OF DOMESTIC OBJECTS, EMPLOYING A DESIGN APPROACH THAT RESPECTS THE HERITAGE AND PRACTICE OF THE ARTS FRENCH AND DUTCH CRAFTS FROM THE BETWEEN WARS. NAMED AFTER THEIR ADDRESS IN AMSTERDAM, EGELANTIER'S FUNDAMENTAL PRINCIPLE IS RESTRAINT IN MATERIALITY, CONVEYED USING ONLY FOUR PURE MATERIALS: ELM WOOD, BRUSHED ALUMINUM, UNTREATED WOOL AND BENT PLYWOOD.
