Jialun Xiong
Jialun Xiong, from Chongqing in China and now established in Los Angeles, embodies an artistic approach in which the notions of duality and creative restraint are intertwined. Dedicating to the design of interiors, furniture, lighting and accessories, it gives life to objects of design that is both graphic, dramatic and rigorously intentional.
Inspired by the mountainous landscapes of his hometown as well as by functional minimalism characteristic of the international architectural style, Xiong model of spaces and furniture with an abstract geometric inclination, thus offering a precise framework to the human experience which Deploys. His work, aimed at creating holistic and integrated environments, encourages a careful apprehension of each material detail, thus propagating a ceremonial attitude which celebrates contemplation and presence.
