Collection: Grayhigiano

GRISHIGIANO, A SCULPTOR ORIGINAL FROM UKRAINE, ACURATES THE INTEREST OF ART COLLECTORS ACROSS EUROPE. HIS EXHIBITION “FINE PRETENCE” IN MAYFAIR, LONDON, PRESENTED AT THE LANE GALLERY LONDON’S Ephemeral GALLERY, HAS ALREADY BEEN A GREAT SUCCESS.
HIS WORK IS BASED ON A DEEP PHILOSOPHY AIMED AT ENCOURAGING SELF-EXPLORATION AND TRANSCENDING THE LIMITS IMPOSED BY SOCIETY. IN HIS CREATIVE PROCESS, GRISHIGIANO ADOPTED AN INTUITIVE APPROACH, WITHOUT PRELIMINARY SKETCHES. HE FINDS HIS INSPIRATION IN THE TRUE ENCHANTMENT OF THE CREATIVE PROCESS, FIRST CARVING THE BLOCK DELICATELY USING A UNIQUE TOOL. THE NEXT PHASE INVOLVES METICULOUS HAMMER AND CHISEL WORK TO REVEAL COMPLEX DETAILS. HE THEN CONTINUES HIS QUEST TO DISCOVER THE PERFECT LINES USING HAND GRINDING AND POLISHING TECHNIQUES. THE FINAL STEPS ARE REPETITIVE, REQUIRING THE TRANSFORMATION OF THE ROUGH SURFACE OF THE STONE INTO A SMOOTH TEXTURE COMPARABLE TO THAT OF A CAST. THIS METICULOUS APPROACH CAN TAKE FROM TWO WEEKS TO SEVERAL MONTHS, DEPENDING ON THE SIZE OF THE SCULPTURE.
