MUSSET WORKSHOP

Atelier Musset is the fruit of life and the desire to transmit its creator, Timothée Musset. After spending his outdoor childhood, at the heart of nature, he decided to follow a Tour de France within the Companions of Duty to learn the carpentry for 8 years, working with ancestral woods historic monuments.
After this rich experience, Timothée works in a design office for a few years before returning to his passion for wood and creating the Musset workshop to share his know-how. It focuses mainly on the valuation of this often neglected material, by sublimating ancient woods while highlighting their faults which are part of their intrinsic beauty. For him, the recovery of these woods steeped in history is essential because they have gone through the centuries and still have a lot to tell. Transforming raw and massive matter into a more poetic dimension,
Timothée designs a collection of contemporary furniture with the simplicity of the forms, meticulously shaped by hand in solid wood, revealing a form of natural lace. Its objective is to revitalize what seems old -fashioned by stressing that time sculpts the material to the smallest details, thus offering utility parts with a sculptural tendency in harmony between the old and the contemporary.
