KIKI GOTI
KIKI GOTI IS A GREEK ARCHITECT, DESIGNER AND EDUCATOR CURRENTLY BASED IN NEW YORK.
AS A DESIGNER, GOTI HYBRIDIZES MATERIALS AND MANUFACTURING METHODS TO EXPLORE THE RELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN COLOR, TEXTURE, HERITAGE AND IDENTITY. THE RESULT IS A LIMITLESS POP VERNACULAR, ACROSS OBJECT AND ENVIRONMENT, WHICH REMODELS PRECONCEIVED NOTIONS OF 'GREEK AESTHETIC' AND ILLUMINATES OUR HUMAN EXPERIENCE.
IN 2023, GOTI MADE ITS DEBUT WITH HIS FIRST SOLO EXHIBITION, 'NEO-VANITY', AT ALCOVA DURING MILAN DESIGN WEEK, WITH GREAT SUCCESS. SHE ALSO EXHIBITED HER WORK IN PARIS DURING MAISON&OBJET 2022. GOTI'S WORK WAS FEATURED IN FINANCIAL TIMES, CORRIERE DELLA SERA, WALLPAPER*, HIGHSSNOBIETY, DEZEEN, ICON, AD FRANCE, INTERIOR DESIGN MAGAZINE, CASA VOGUE BRASIL, INTERNI MAGAZINE , ELLE DECORATION ESPAÑA, SIXTYSIX, FRAME, DESIGN MILK, ARCH DAILY, AND MANY OTHERS.
GOTI OBTAINED HIS DEGREE IN ARCHITECTURE FROM THE ARISTOTLE UNIVERSITY OF THESSALONIKI AND HIS MASTERS IN DIGITAL MANUFACTURING AND COMPUTER DESIGN FROM THE UNIVERSITY OF STUTTGART. SHE CURRENTLY TEACHES AT PRATT INSTITUTE AND PARSONS NEW SCHOOL AND PREVIOUSLY TEACHED AT CARNEGIE MELLON AND THE UNIVERSITY OF PENNSYLVANIA.
