CHRISTOPHE DAGUET

The essence of Christophe Daguet's artistic journey is rooted in the rural landscapes of his youth. A lifetime dedicated to the cabinetmaking workshop. The influence of great masters, such as Nakashima and Henry Moore, broadened his horizons, opening his eyes to new and organic forms. Under this inspiration, he has given life to a series of objects and furniture that have found their place throughout the world, in galleries and in the hands of renowned interior designers.
Her love for antique furniture, with its evocative patinas and wood polished by time, has evolved into a passion for breathing new life into these pieces. Under the fluorescent lights of her workshop, the gnawed, damaged, aged furniture reveals a sublime beauty.
In his creations, Christophe seeks to work on each piece in a unique way, to create a harmony between the old and the contemporary. The woods he uses come from the forests of his region, thus creating a deep connection with the land where he grew up.
