SET OF 2 ALUMINUM GLASS COASTERS "OBJ-02" BY ARTIST ORLANDO PIPPIG. INSPIRED BY THE LONG JAPANESE TEA SERVICE TRADITIONS AND THE CEREMONIES THAT SURROUND IT, THE OBJ-02 COASTERS ARE THE PERFECT ACCOMPANIMENT TO THE OBJ-01 TEA TRAY.
LIKE THE TRAY, EACH BASE IS MILLED FROM A SINGLE PIECE OF ALUMINUM AND RESTS ON TWO FEET, LIFTED JUST ENOUGH TO CREATE A PLEASANT SHADOW LINE. ON THE UNDERSIDE, THE MILLING MARKS ARE INTENTIONALLY LEFT VISIBLE TO ENHANCE THE MANUFACTURING METHODS USED TO PRODUCE THIS OBJECT.
