TAPIO WIRKKALA WAS A RENOWNED FINNISH DESIGNER, BORN ON JUNE 2, 1915 IN HANKO, FINLAND, AND DIED ON MAY 19, 1985 IN HELSINKI. HE WAS MOST KNOWN FOR HIS WORK IN THE FIELD OF GLASS DESIGN, CERAMICS, SILVERWARE AND FURNITURE.
