"Composition 124" by artist Sean Thornhill, 2024 This rectangular artwork is entirely handmade by artist Sean Thornhill. Crafted from layered wood sheets, it creates a subtle interplay of light and shadow that evolves with changes in natural lighting. Finished in a matte paint. Dated and signed on the back, the piece comes with its certificate of authenticity.

Inspired by Bauhaus and Brutalism, Sean’s work is defined by a distinctive geometric style, where light and shadow interact in captivating ways. His creations, made from layered paper, serve as maquettes for larger-scale works. These compositions explore how the various layers unfold on a broader scale.

Unless otherwise stated in the product description, the item is in stock and will be shipped within 48 business hours from order confirmation. For items with a different shipping timeframe, specific information is provided in the product listing — this timeframe takes precedence over the general mention above. We reserve the right to adjust shipping timeframes in the event of an unforeseen stock shortage, without this giving rise to any liability beyond a full refund of the order concerned.

In-store pickup is available under the same availability conditions. You will be notified by email as soon as your order is ready. In-store pickup is not available on Sundays.

RETURNS
Returns are accepted within 14 days from the date of delivery, provided the item is returned in its original condition and packaging. Return shipping costs are covered by the seller, except for oversized items (furniture, sofas, and any item indicated as such), which are not eligible for free returns. For these items, return shipping costs are the sole responsibility of the customer. Refunds will be processed within a maximum of 14 days upon receipt and inspection of the returned item.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING
For the shipment of oversized items (furniture, sofas) outside continental Europe, a personalised quote will be provided upon request. Please contact us before placing your order.

CUSTOMS FEES
For any delivery outside the European Union, customs duties, taxes, or import fees may be required upon receipt. SEAN IS AN ARTIST AND DESIGNER BASED IN CAMBRIDGESHIRE, WHERE HE WORKS FROM HIS GARDEN STUDIO. INSPIRED BY BAUHAUS AND BRUTALISM, HIS WORK IS CHARACTERIZED BY A STRONG GEOMETRIC LANGUAGE, PLAYING WITH SHADOWS AND LIGHT. THE INTERACTION WITH DAYLIGHT MAKES HIS COMPOSITIONS CONSTANTLY EVOLVE. HIS RELIEF WORKS, BUILT BY LAYERING PRECISE, DIGITALLY DESIGNED SHAPES, ARE FIRST DEVELOPED AS SMALL-SCALE MODELS TO EXPLORE VOLUME. ONCE THE DESIGN IS VALIDATED, HE CREATES DETAILED TEMPLATES, THEN CUTS HIS PIECES BY HAND OR WITH A LASER FOR COMPLEX SHAPES, BEFORE A FINAL ASSEMBLY PAINTED WITH CHALK PAINT.
