Large sculpture in abstract sandstone produced by the French ceramist and sculptor Hervé Rousseau. The artist's signature is affixed inside.

Hervé Rousseau creates works with archaic and primitive forms, directly inspired by nature and gesture. In 1980, he built an oven lying for wood cooking. His trips, especially in Africa, and his meeting with the Japanese potter Ryoji Koie in 2005 strengthen his instinctive approach to the earth, which he grabs and models with force. Simplicity and speed authenticate his approach, where gestural freedom takes precedence. Each piece is unique, in a real metaphor of the body and the landscape.

The sculpture was presented during the exhibition Hervé Rousseau: the trace of the wind, at the Roubaix swimming pool museum, March-April 2015.
