JORDAN JOEVIN

JORDAN JOÉVIN, FRENCH SCULPTOR AND DESIGNER, BORN IN 1992 IN ORANGE, LIVING IN MARSEILLE.
SHAPES A UNIQUE WORK WHERE THE CRACKS OF THE ASPHALT AND URBAN TEXTURES BECOME MATERIALS OF A CONTEMPORARY MYTHOLOGY.
Trained at the Fine Arts School of Montpellier and at the Sint Lukas Institute in Ghent, he draws from the colours of the city to ennoble so-called poor materials: patinated steel, concrete, wild plastic and elevate them to the rank of poetic fragments.
HIS SCULPTURES, SUCH AS THE KNEELING FORCE (FURNITURE-SCULPTURE, 2025), BLEND CLASSICAL REFERENCES AND THE RAW LANGUAGE OF FUNCTIONAL ARCHITECTURE, CREATING HYBRID OBJECTS BETWEEN ANCIENT RUINS AND POST-INDUSTRIAL VESTIGES.
AT THE PARADIS GALLERY, HIS WORKS ENTER INTO A DIALOGUE WITH THE RAW SPACE OF THE OLD FACTORY, REVEALING A TENSION BETWEEN URBAN MEMORY AND PLASTIC REINVENTION.
