Silver-plated metal fish vase produced by Christofle. Designed by Émile Reiber, director of the company, in the 1870s using cloisonné enamels. It is inspired by Japanese works from the Edo period.
Later reissued in silver-plated metal, this vase features the iconic silhouette of two intertwined fish, sculpted in relief and resting on their crossed fins. A solid, figurative piece with no visible joins. Work from the 1980s.
